Client Worksite Representative

The Client Worksite Representative acts as the client’s “eyes and ears” regarding health and safety, planning, compliance with the work plan and process, SMS, including procedures, operations, roles and responsabilities of contractor, both Onshore, Offshore / Inshore operations during the project. This course has been developed to allow candidates to understand their roles as described in the guidance documents issued by IOGP and IMCA.

Objectives and expected results

The Client Worksite Representative course provides the necessary information to evaluate the safety and efficiency of work activities in the Offshore/Inshore and Onshore sector. For this reason, decrees and laws, guidelines, publications and procedures of various countries have been taken into consideration, in particular those of Great Britain, which represents an international point of reference in the health and safety field, at work.

A ClientRep represents and acts on behalf of its client. These professionals are used in various areas, including sales, customer service, investments, various services, etc. The ClientRep should have good written and verbal communication skills, including excellent organizational and planning ablity, expertise on the area of representation, technical skills.

Our Client Worksite Representative course focuses mainly on occupational health and safety, conformance with HSE requirements, planning and safety management system, site incident reports and much more. The subjects are developed in accordance with international regulations and procedures that deal with various areas of work.

Our course prepares the expert candidate in his or her area to pursue the Client Worksite Representative career. In fact, the course provides tools, procedures and general guidelines to prepare the candidate for the responsibilities that he/she will have to cover as ClientRep. In addition, specific topics concerning the following categories are covered: construction in terrestrial and marine environments, Inshore / Offshore tasks, Subsea operation (Diving and ROV), Marine, Survey.

Given the peculiarity of the Offshore or Construction sector in which different work activities often interact and interfere with each other, it is necessary for the ClientRep to have knowledge in various fields of action.

Entry criteria

Essential:

  • HND or equivalent in technical subjects.
  • HSE Adviser/Coordinator, RSPP.
  • IMCA Competence of Client Representatives.
  • Certificates or experience in dynamic positioning/position referencing systems.
  • Recommended mother tongue Italian or English language ability equal to a level C or greater.

Duration

50 hours

Recognition and validity of course

This course is valid for RSPP and ASPP update, integration of the knowledge and skills of HSE Professionals and for those who intend to work as ClientRep.

Examination Test

Upon completion of the Client Worksite Representative course a half day exam is scheduled. During the exam an internal and external commission could be organized.

Certification

All candidates who complete this course will be awarded the: Client Worksite Representative A.N.CO.R.S. Certificate.
